The race for air dominance in the 21st century has given rise to two of the most advanced fighter jets in the world — the American F-35 Lightning II and the Russian Su-57 Felon. Both are fifth-generation stealth fighters designed to dominate the skies, but they reflect two very different philosophies of air combat. The Su-57, however, is still in limited service with the Russian Air Force, with fewer than 30 units delivered. Russia plans to expand production, but technical and financial challenges have slowed the process.
